Montana State Fund is committed to the safety of Montana’s future workforce. The Growing a Safer Montana High School Safety Equipment Awards are for Montana students in the construction trade and industry classrooms.
Eligibility: Montana high school construction trades and industry teachers. Each teacher is eligible for one award, regardless of how many classrooms they instruct. Multiple teachers at the same school may apply. Teachers who instruct both middle school and high school classrooms are eligible for one middle school and one high school award.
Award: Selected classrooms will be awarded an award for up to $850 worth of PPE (personal protective equipment) for students. The PPE may include welding helmets, welding gloves, leather or rubber work gloves, safety glasses, earmuffs, ear plugs with dispenser, safety goggles, flame resistant clothing, high visibility vests and hardhats, etc. A list of items will be supplied to the teachers who are awarded the grants.
Application period: The application window is open from April 1, 2024 through May 10, 2024.
