High School Safety Equipment Award

Montana State Fund is committed to the safety of Montana’s future workforce. The Growing a Safer Montana High School Safety Equipment Awards are for Montana students in the construction trade and industry classrooms.

Eligibility: All Montana construction trades (welding, carpentry, and automotive tech) and industry high school teachers are eligible to apply. One application per instructor please.

Award: Selected classrooms will be awarded an award for up to $850 worth of PPE (personal protective equipment) for students. The PPE may include welding helmets, welding gloves, leather or rubber work gloves, safety glasses, earmuffs, ear plugs with dispenser, safety goggles, flame resistant clothing, high visibility vests and hardhats, etc. A list of items will be supplied to the teachers who are awarded the grants.

Application period: The next application window will open in the spring of 2024.
