Trade & Industry Scholarship
Montana State Fund is committed to the safety of Montana's workforce. This scholarship is for Trade & Industry students with high academic credentials and a demonstrated desire to champion safety as they move into their professional endeavors.
Eligibility: Students with at least one semester (12 credit hours) of coursework completed and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Only students from the following programs are eligible.

- Dawson Community College - Welding Technology
- Flathead Valley Community College - Electrical Technology (AAS)

- Flathead Valley Community College - Industrial Machine Technology (CNC)
- Flathead Valley Community College - Welding Fabrication (AAS)
- Flathead Valley Community College - Welding Inspection Technology
- Gallatin College MSU - Welding Technology
- Great Falls College MSU - Welding Technology & Fabrication (AAS)
- Great Falls College MSU - Renewable Energy Technician
- Helena College U of M - Industrial Welding and Metal Fabrication
- Highlands College - Construction Technology & Welding
- Missoula College U of M - Sustainable Construction
- Missoula College U of M - Welding Technology

Application Requirements: Documents must be submitted in pdf format unless otherwise specified.
- Brief bio with a photo.
- Completion of essay question(s) after watching assigned video(s).
- A 1-page cover letter describing the importance of safety specific to your desired industry, how you’ve championed safety in the past, and how you plan to champion safety in the future.
- One personal letter of recommendation and one instructor/professor submitted questionnaire.
Other Requirements: Recipients of the scholarship must submit an unofficial transcript by Friday, January 1, 2021 to confirm 3.0 GPA and 12 credit hours of coursework.
Award: A sum of $4,000 is awarded towards the Cost of Attendance (i.e. Tuition, Board etc.). Recipients will receive the scholarship in two equal payments: One at the beginning of the 2021 spring semester and the other at the start of the fall semester of 2021.
Deadline: The application window opens on Thursday, October 1 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 15.
